Just wanted to send out a BIG Thank You to all of our fantastic families who have supported the Nature Hunt. This fun opportunity to spend time outdoors with children over the half term helped many of you to get out there and look for all the items you wanted for the Nature Hunt. At the same time you have raised lots of money for the pre-school. A total of £442.19 has been raised with 1 child raising a staggering total of £81. Thank You to all of you who took part in this.We now have lots of chocolate/ Easter goodies that we are selling raffle tickets for. This will be drawn on 22/3/18. Tickets will be 5 for £1 and available from the fund raising team or committee members over the next 2 weeks.
Well done to everyone who is supporting their child to locate and put on their own coat when collecting from pre-school.
We would also like you to help your child’s literacy development by working with them to find their name card on arrival and place it on the white board. Initially children may look for the sticker on their card and remember this before moving on to recognising the first letter of their name. We will be removing the signing-in book soon so this will be the only form of self registration for children.
School places. Let us know when you have been informed of school allocated places so we can then invite schools to work with us on transitions.
Funding – Don’t forget to re-validate your extended funding entitlement when its due. Any new applications must be made before 31/3/18 for this additional funding.
All new 3 year old funding applications, EY1, must be returned to Jane this week for funding after Easter.
Laundry – Can you help us out by offering to take the laundry and wash the rags and tea towels one week. No need to iron anything. The rota for this is on the table by the entry door, just find a space and write your name in. We will have the bag ready for you to collect on the date agreed. All help is much appreciated by the staff team.
Thank you for your voluntary contributions towards the craft activities being done this week and next week. Children will making and bringing home a Grasshead and an Easter cake. The Grassheads will need looking after by following the instructions they come home with, but I’m sure the children won’t need any directions on what to do with the Easter cake!
